I've been looking online all day for ideas but not even TMZ has an clue! Obviously this year's extension of the state of National Emergency is going to be a biggie and I think we're all going to be in for something special! Not only is it the "Big 10" but this year we can celebrate the death of Osama bin Laden!

We're going to win this one, I can just feel it! Stay the course! 87,000+ hours under "continuing and immediate threat of further attacks on the United States" and I feel I could do another 87,000 hours just as a victory lap!

So raise your glass with me and let us toast to another 10 Wonderful Years Under a State of National Emergency and, hopefully, a Democratic President in office to be the one to extend it every year!

September 10th! Save the date!

13. How long do you think the families of 9/11 victims want us under a state of national emergency?
Just wondering.

16. Technically, I think Egypt took a break for a few months in 1980 so...
...I think they're at 31 years or so for a continuous unbroken state of emergency. We're already 1/3 the way there!

Tahrir square, here I come!

Incidentally, my youngest son was born just after our state of National Emergency was declared. My youngest son has never lived in an America which was not under a state of National Emergency. He's going into 4th grade next week.
