How many No. 2s does Al-Qaida have?
We've been killing No. 2 for what almost 10 years. What about No. 1 is this like Where's Waldo? It just gets silly after a while. And who made hm No. 2?

1. I was thinking the same thing earlier.
Apparently every time No. 2 is killed there is a new No. 2
I'd hate to be a No. 3 - knowing that my turn would be coming up soon ;)

9. The retirement benefits
An eternity in heaven fucking your brains out with gorgeous, sensual women of indescribable skill... or an eternity eating feces and drinking boiling piss.

Your choice!

...until it's far too late to change your mind.

I'm betting there are an awful lot of people drinking boiling piss that were very surprised to find themselves doing so.

13. I've traveled a bit, but I admit that this is one culture that I'll never understand.
And I think that's a big part of the problem, none of us Westerners really do, and probably never will. :(

15. I don't think it's what you believe that's important, but how you live your life.
And I wouldn't want to be Jerry Falwell any more than I'd want to be Osama bin Laden. I admit to not understanding him, either. x(

12. It's called Al Qaeda, but it's really Amway Qaeda
With all the Number 2 guys we've killed, the only thing I can think of is AQ is a MLM terror organization. The bigger your downline of Number 2 guys is, the more money you make because Amway Qaeda uses the same recruiting rules as the John Dillinger Died for You Society: you're allowed to charge anything you want, and keep it because Osama would have wanted it that way.

Ayman al-Zawahiri was #2 for many years and he's still alive.

I think this is actually the first time we've bagged a #2 guy.

20. I was shocked by how RW the OP's question sound.
I was in a Yahoo news blog when the news of the strike was first posted. The RW posters went nuts with questioning the #2 killing, even to the extent of calling the announcement a lie. Now I see a similar path being taken on DU. It seems all about de-legitimizing President Obama, from where ever the path.

since Bush went into Afghanistan. In fact, I think Al Qaida means "Number Two".

26. This Number Two thing is in the genre "Lies the Brass Tells the Press", isn't it?
"It was only a few bad apples" and "all the dead are terrorists" are two other notable examples.

34. As long as it gives us a reason to stay in Asian wars
the killing will never stop. The CIA arbitrarily designates #2s and #1s for that matter when it needs publicity by a willing and lazy media.
