1. I was thinking that this A.M. and I also was considering
that East Coast snowstorms also occur mostly on the weekends...I know this because I work Saturdays.

9. nah...
most of our storms hit during the week this past winter...plenty on the weekend too, but I don't know how many times this past winter I had to call the boss to see if he needed me in or not during the bad storms.

2. It's not just you back east, either. Here in SoCal, the most ghastly heat waves
always seem to come on the weekends to ruin them, as do the winter rainstorms. For all the nice weather we have, we sure don't get to enjoy it much. It's only nice on weekdays.

5. Are you aware that it got 119F here just a few years ago? RIGHT HERE,

in the city of Los Angeles, half a mile from where I sit? And that we frequently have summer heat waves in excess of 115F?

And that it's not uncommon for the power to fail during these heat waves, so our UNINSULATED apartments (we're not all rich enough to live in newer construction) rapidly become dangerous ovens without air conditioning?

I didn't think so.

There are huge swaths of this entire state that get dangerous heat for prolonged periods. Worse by far than poor widdle TX and OK are seeing this year, BTW.
