Richard Branson vows to 'rebuild' Caribbean home

Twenty people, including Kate Winslet, Branson's 90-year-old mother, Eve; and his daughter, Holly, were staying in the eight-bedroom Great House. The Virgin honcho was staying nearby with his wife and 25-year-old son Sam.

"We had a really bad tropical storm with winds up to 90 miles per hour. A big lightning storm came around 4 a.m. and hit the house," Branson says on his blog, adding that he "lost thousands of photographs and my note books which is very sad." He adds, "My son Sam rushed to the house and helped get everyone out."

1. He stored photos and note books in a home in hurricane central?
I always thought he was smart.
