1. I agree. Happily he doesn't get that much media coverage.

2. He is a narcissistic OPPORTUNIST...
and is willing to exploit any position necessary to fill his own coffers. That's why the RETHUGS eat him up and are happy to book him... He truly is one of them.

3. The Obama presidency has driven him half-mad.
He was supposed to be the one who broke the barriers. He had the old political family. He had all the right connections, spent years shaking the right hands, stuffing his Rolodex, and then this nobody from out of the Springfield statehouse crowd took his prize.

4. Not for nothing...
But he's not as far outside what has become the Democratic Party mainstream as he was a few years ago when he first started popping up and chiming in our tv's.

He's not drastically more hawkish than what our current foreign policy is.
He's not drastically more pro-corporation than most of the policies favored by our current leadership are.

So yeah, we all used to laugh at and sneer at ole' Harold Ford trying to situate himself to the right in most elections.

But looking at how we end up governing when we get some semblance of power, Harold is not longer looking to be so far out of the mainstream of Democratic politics as he once was.
