4. Government by the rich is government for the rich
although I think it is better to look at policy than to bash Congress.

Senator Mark Dayton was one of the most liberal members of the Senate (and yeah that's a little bit like being the shortest giraffe or the skinniest elephant.)

Senator Kennedy and FDR were not poor, but they are some of the best ever.

Grayson isn't poor either.

5. Only one percent of Americans are millionaires...
On the other hand, 46 percent of our Congress is. That is one of the reasons why the D & R of DC Financial Group have much more in common with themselves than they do with their constituents.

Why do you think 1% of the population controls 38% of the wealth?

Answer: Because our D & R Representatives let them have it. Nevertheless, "We the People" keep electing the same people over and over and...

Oh, I almost forgot...my guy is not the problem, its everyone else's fault.

9. So, you're saying that...
John benefits in no way from his wife's assets?

If his wife lived in the mansion and John lived in the servant's quarters, you'd have a point.

WTF?

7. And this is why they're so hopelessly out of touch......

Even people like Pelosi and Kerry, who actually get it right sometimes, often sound like clueless rich people.

8. #1 = McCaul of Tx. He married well.
McCaul's wife Linda is the daughter of Clear Channel Communications Chairman Lowry Mays and sister of Clear Channel CEO Mark Mays. In 2011, Roll Call named McCaul the wealthiest member of the United States Congress, surpassing U.S. Senator John Kerry (D-MA). His current net worth is estimated at $294 million, which is nearly 300% higher than it was last year ($74 million).<3> In 2004, Roll Call estimated his net worth at just $12 million. His wealth increase was due to large monetary transfers from his wife's family.<4> Michael and Linda live in the Tarrytown neighborhood of Austin, Texas with their children are daughters Caroline, Jewell, Avery, and Lauren, and a son, Michae
