Ames Straw Poll 'Winner' Bachmann: Have any interviewERs today exposed her IGNORANCE?

The only interview I managed to see was by Candy Crowley of CNN.

Crowley asked "softball" questions and did not follow up on truly uninformed responses from Bachmann. Crowley allowed Bachmann to repeat with impunity her stunningly ignorant advocacy of "avoiding default but not raising the debt ceiling".

When will someone ask Bachmann any of the following four simple questions:

(1) "Do you realize that default is defined as not paying all your bills?"

(2) "Do you realize that, when the bill arrives at Treasury for spending Congress already has authorized, Treasury has to borrow another 40 cents to pay each dollar due to creditors?"

(3) "What do you mean when you say "Congress gave President Obama a $2.4 trillion blank check?"

(4) "Do you know the difference between cutting FUTURE spending and RESCINDING expenditures already authorized?"

1. I saw her on two shows today inc. David Gregory

Three gems:

1. She could have stabilized the Markets if we had told them we were going to purposely default.

2. She equates "submitting" to her husband with "respect" and that they both do it.

3. She refused to say she wouldn't name an atheist to a judicial nomination provided that the nominee was well versed in the Constitution, was "competent", and agreed with her views.

3. Did Davit Gregory ask any followup questions to highlight Bachmann's stupefying lack of basic knowle...

lack of knowledge about even her CURRENT job?

IMO Gregory knows how to ask "hardball" questions. But, alos, and this is probably ehy he got to replace Russert, Gregory knows how to "go to his right".

6. I think David Gregory is a terrible interviewer...

He never asks open ended questions... which I always thought was Journalism 101. I hear mostly YES/NO or A/B questions. He's a binary thinker... no shades of grey.

I suspect Gregory learned to interview by watching Matt Lauer... who is the second worst interviewer I can think of.

for open-ended questions from him from now on.

8. Actually he surprised me with follow-up, once after a question she refused

to answer and an immediate follow-up, pointing out that she wasn't going to answer the question he asked. This is precedent for David Gregory.

He was on to her and was kind of pissed.

4. Frankly, she's a useful idiot at this point

They need her to go medieval on Rick Perry in the debates, leaving Mittens above the fray. The very best thing that can happen to us is if Perry and Bachmann destroy each other, letting Mittens get the Republicon nomination. Pissed off fundies will either sit on their hands, or vote for some religious third party nutball in the general election.

5. Watching either David Gregory or Candy Crowley is not on my to-do list in life.

Can't stand either one of the privileged, smarmy elitists.
