Addicted to Fear and Hate
I believe that teabaggers get a "high" from being in fear and/or hating. Bush fed them what they crave and Fox News continues to be their pusher of the endorphin rush they that fear and hatred. They enjoy being in a ginned up crisis mode...kind of like a procrastinator who loves the thrill of nearly missing a deadline.

Have there been any scientific studies done on the excitement of fear and hatred?

2. They're ignorant, they get an adrenaline high from violence, and I insult them personally.
Why? Well, because since being nice doesn't help them to reason, I may as well take out on them the anger I feel when I realize how f stupid they are.

3. Fear certainly makes the adrenaline flow
and there are such people who qualify as adrenaline junkies.

4. scary movies, boxing matches, bull-fights, roller coasters-
humans in general are pretty susceptible to the hormones that our bodies produce in response to stimulation.

The thing that I see with the right-wing is that they use fear and alienation as a tool to rally people to their cause with a few hot button issues that have very little to do with actual policy. Saying "they want to kill your granny, take all your money, make it illegal to go to church, and take all your guns so you can't fight back" is a tool they use a lot.

They also like to make it seem as if Democrats aren't made of the same stuff as they are. Making the "other" out of us- It happens here in reverse, seeing those who have aligned themselves with the republican mind set as not every bit as human as you or I. I think it's important for us to fight that tendency- individually and as a party.

5. less fear - more hatred and a love of being snide and self-superior to all others
except those who are just like them.
