Mr. Romney, corporations are not people
People are people. We are endowed with rights from our Creator. Corporations are a tool created by people as a legal instrument. Corporations are not naturally born and do not have a natural death. Unless you are equating yourself with our Creator, quit saying that corporations are people.

8. I've seen this elsewhere too.

Corporations are people? So is Soylent Green. I saw it in the comments to a story on Alternet I think. So it's becoming part of The Mindset out there. Disturbing to think that others are coming up with that response too. And what that means metaphorically...

:scared:

It's a statement that quite simply blows the mind in these particular times - especially if it's an opinion widely and spontaneously shared.

18. Even so, I'm dumbfounded at the responses I see elsewhere -
Dang! On Facebook, it's simply astounding how many people seem able to agree with this. Just astounding. And a little depressing!

3. Mittens is a robot. I'm convinced. Not as classy as Geoff Peterson, but a robot nonetheless. nt

I think this will be very useful to feed back to him. He will eat these words.

13. Male corporations or female corporations...
Is there a way to tell the difference or does it matter? Are we going to allow male/male corporations or female/female corporations to marry? And what about the children?

Dumb Mitt!

10. Be careful - I expect this SCOTUS to rule that people are not people
that only corporations are people. They just need the right case.

14. Actually, what I think he meant to say was
that corporations are comprised of people.

Like towns. Churches. Schools.

We can say "Towns are people" or "Churches are people" and in some way it's true.

Corporations are people too, in a manner of speaking. They're not made up of robots. Or elephants. Or space aliens.

Anyway, that's what I took away from what he said. It was an unfortunate choice of words, and it probably will come back to bite him, just like how a lot of what John Kerry said came back to bite him.

16. Mittens has "lived in the real world"...
of Slap Chopping great American corporations, firing all the workers, and selling off the pieces for fun and personal fortune.
