Wisconsin DUers: Is it realistic to expect a "Total Recall"

... of all 6 Repubs we're running against tomorrow (as well as the rejection of the recall efforts against Dems)? I really need some good news this week.

6. Actually, we'd have to win 5 tomorrow.....

....to have enough seats to definitely retake the Senate. There are recall elections for two Democratic senators next week (8/16). So it's possible we could win back the Senate tomorrow, and then lose it next week! (Ooooh....this sounds like the Kloppenburg Supreme Court race, doesn't it?). Ultimately, we need a net gain of three (3) seats between the voting on 8/9 and 8/16. Hope this helps.

All Dems challenging incumbent Repubs win. All incumbent Dems survive recall effort by Repubs. Possible, or am I smoking something? (wish I were...it would make the pain that we're all being put through by these Tea Party asses more bearable).

Some of these district are pretty hardcore rethug. As was mentioned, all we need is a net gain of three. That many we've got in the bag IMO, and that's all that really matters.

3. It all depends on ONE thing.....TURNOUT

Turnout. Turnout. Turnout. If you live in Wisconsin, PLEASE don't make the mistake that so many progressives made last November by staying home and allowing Scott Walker to become governor and the Republicans to take over the state senate. It is IMPERATIVE if workers' rights are to mean anything in our country in the years ahead, we must win these recall elections tomorrow.

12. That's exactly what happened last November & it gave us Walker, lost us Feingold.

Democrats, independents, and even Republicans who disagree with Walker and his minions (there are Republicans who are union public employees) should all be very motivated to get out and vote.

We should not be satisfied with a 40% turnout that would be hailed as great for a special election. The greater the turnout the more likely that the Democrats will prevail.

Yes, if we do not take the Senate there will be hell to pay and it will make the recall of Walker that much more difficult.

We cannot be satisfied with almost doing it. Success is vital.

...you can forget about recalling Walker. It's unlikely there will be much motivation for it. What's worse, is that Republican lawmakers around the country are watching Wisconsin to decide whether or not it's politically safe to decimate the unions. Remember, after the Citizens United Supreme Court ruling, Republicans know that the long-term source of funding for the Democratic Party will be from labor unions, and they want to do everything possible to undermine, limit, and destroy unions in their effort to starve their opposition of resources.

4. I'm not there, but the numbers I've seen look pretty good.

I expect the 'Tea Party Downgrade' may get more people on our side to the polls.

7. I spoke to my State Rep a week ago and she thought there was a good chance that we'd take control

of the Senate. But I think a total recall is unrealistic.

Don't forget, there'll be another round of recall elections in another week or so when the Democratic Senators face recall.
