Yikes. That is going to leave a mark.

I wonder if the teabaggers are now wondering if their hostage taking strategy was misguided...probably not.

2. There was video yesterday of teaidiots cheering the S&P downgrade.
They are STUPID.

They don't have a clue what they did in 2010.

4. The Tbaggers at work are blaming it
on Obama and "his arrogance". I've had to put my earphones on today to drown them out. The 4 most misguided, gun-toting, "I got mine, screw you" people that I know. I have 3453 days left til retirement (if I can actually do that), but who's counting.

6. It is the strangest thing
The GOP are complaining that the president is spineless on one side of their mouth and yet are happy that his weakness allowed them 98 percent of what they wanted until.....reality broke through - and their 98 percent netted a catastrophic drop in the market.

Then they complain that he is out of his depth and has no clue about economic policy.....even though he allowed them 98 percent of what they wanted.

Wow.....just wow.

5. Of course not...!
The Republicans have one simple message: it's always the fault of the President. Funny that they didn't say the same thing during the 2008 crash...

And here's the bad news: a one-percent rise in interest rates, likely in the wake of the downgrade, will be enough to wipe out every bit of the deficit reduction agreed to last week. You know what that means, don't you? Those same Republicans will be declaring that we need deeper cuts, and probably won't approve any appropriations for next years budget unless we get serious "entitlement reform" -- translation: goodbye, Social Security and Medicare, or else this whole circus all over again (probably to be followed by another credit rating cut) in a few months. :-(

Say hello to President Rick Perry... :scared:
