Warren Jeffs found guilty of sexual assault

A Texas jury Thursday found polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs guilty of two counts of sexual assault.

Jeffs was charged with sexual assault on a child after a 2008 raid on a ranch near Eldorado, Texas, operated by his church.

Jeffs, the leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, represented himself in the trial, which started last week. He also faces one count of bigamy, and is expected to be tried on that charge later.

8. I have to say one good thing about Texas

We often complain about their harsh sentencing guideline. But at least in this case, I am glad to know this guy will do VERY hard time, hopefully for the rest of his life.

I remember when they raided another of the groups and then wound up letting all the kids but one go back. That was a mess, and 2 steps backward.

14. good!!! Reporter said a recent day in the trial was awful - jurors had to listen to a tape of him

having sex with a little girl. Once in a while they could hear this little girl voice.
