Hey, How COOL is it to be watching CURRENT on cable?

or, for that matter, on the internet, so that means all of you can. Let me count the way...

1) Tonight, after Keith Olbermann, I watch for a second time, "An Inconvenient Truth". This brought back the very appropriate attitude adjustment I was ready to jump into, which is exactly what I needed to see AGAIN.
2) There is a wonderful program that employs true newsworthy material called, "Vanguard". Have you seen these reporters? It's not just the subject matter (smoking world wide, drug wars, poverty), it's the style of grit journalism and the gut and brains involved. This is the kind of reality TV our brains have been in need of.
3) This week, they introduced another 5 part series, "50 documentaries you need to see before you die" or some such title. I was hugely impressed with the subject matter with another journalist/interviewer/host with personality and brains. So much good material.

Then, there looks to be another one coming down the pike... Curiosity, or some such title. This one asks the questions, for sure. I think the first episode we're supposed to see would explore, "Did God start the Universe?"

You know, after understanding in my 50's what I didn't consider as much in my 40's, and brashly acted upon in my 30's after I cleared my head from my 20's, I think I understand Al Gore a hell of a lot more, and I admire what he decided to do after the fucking White House was stolen.

I think Current is the best thing next to Al Gore these days, and that's all, folks!

7. It's tv in a whole new light!

All my tv's are connected to one DVR 10mps internet, computer is connected into my tvs. I can record 4 shows at the same time, and it's all done through my phone lines (yes you heard right). I've had it since November and I love it!

How do you like it?

One of their bundled deals would cost me about what DirecTV costs and would include my broadband as well as TV. I haven't taken the time to check to make sure the channels I watch are on Prism, though.

I remember when we heard Al Gore was going to start his own channel and then I don't remember hearing any more about it. But you are right, it does have some excellent programs and I wonder why Al Gore doesn't advertise it more.

8. Well, I've seen him lots this week...

Twice on Keith's program, which was a passionate and meaningful watch. Then, I see "Inconvenient Truth" beginning tonight, which will play over at intervals.

I think there's a careful launching of stuff here and he's intermittently coming into things. It's probably going to be the internet that advertises the most and blog arena, yes? :-)

13. Yes, it will be the internet and Twitter as Keith has a big following

on Twitter, that gets this channel a bigger audience. And it is nice to see Gore back. I really hope it is successful, we so badly need real journalism in this country and it definitely has the potential to be the channel that takes the lead in a return to actual news reporting.
