ABC News: Heat wave story w/ no mention of global warming balanced by story on woman held by God.

I recognize there is a difference between climate and weather, but given the scientific consensus and the severity of the heat wave and the longterm trend of increasing temperatures, it would seem journalistically within reason to mention global warming in a story on a massive, deadly heat wave. ABC, of course, in the service of its corporate masters, managed to avoid doing so. It did manage, however, to give us a story about near death incidents in which a woman assured us she was held by God who told her she couldn't stay and returned her to her body. It's all well and good to explore the possibilities of the nearly dead being spoken to by God, but to ignore a phenomenon which could result in massive collective suffering seems fairly disgraceful. It must be hell to be a journalist with a conscience these days.

3. After a massive wildfire that burned 20 or 30 homes, the local TV had a lady on who

extolled the protection by Jesus who 'saved' her house. She didn't say why Jesus wasn't interested in protecting her neighbors' homes...maybe they were all unfaithful...??

I think it's a prerequisite for M$M journalists that they must have anything remotely resembling a conscience surgically removed before they can be hired. In fact I'm sure I read that somewhere. :sarcasm:
