Wisconsin Republican candidate compared public schools to Nazi Germany
Source: Raw Story
By David Ferguson

Tags: public education system, talking points memo, wisconsin public radioKim Simac, a Wisconsin tea party organizer and Republican candidate for the August 9 recall elections has admitted to comparing the public education system to Nazi indoctrination in a now-deleted blog post from 2010. Talking Points Memo links to the cached version of the post, which originally appeared on the Patriot Action Network, a tea party social networking site.

"I am done raising my kids but if I was a young parent today I would take my kids out of the public school system today," it says, "At what point will we stop talking about the comparisons to what is occurring today and what actually happened by the regime of the Nazi's (sic) in the past?"

Wisconsin Public Radio's Glen Moberg asked Simac about the blog post in an interview on Thursday. She admitted to authorship of the blog post and said that she stood by its call for intervention in public education. Her campaign declined to comment on why and by whom the post was deleted.

2. Literally, another f'ing hockey mom. Plus this tidbit about 'family values'
According to the Wisconsin Circuit Court Access Program (CCAP), Simac (then known as Kim Maillette) filed for divorce from her first husband on the exact same day that her current husband, Arthur Simac, filed for divorce from his now ex-wife. I suppose it could be purely coincidental that Simac filed for divorce from her first husband on the same day that her current husband filed for divorce from his now ex-wife, but to add further intrigue to the story, the two divorce petitions were given consecutive case numbers, meaning they had to have been filed within a short period of time of each other. While there’s no telling whether Simac and her current husband walked into the courthouse hand-in-hand to file for divorce from their respective spouses, I can just see that being the case.

3. She didn't "compare", she merely name-called
Which is why there is nothing to refute.

Not to mention the fact that if you actually try and parse that grammar ("At what point will we stop talking about the comparisons to what is occurring today and what actually happened by the regime of the Nazi's (sic) in the past?") you won't get to any concrete meaning anyways.

5. Lucky Us
We're in this idiot's district and have seen her signs all over the place, mostly in front of businesses. We proudly have our Holperin sign out front and have seen quite a few others around. To say we are scared is to putting it mildly, our state is in big trouble.
