Today is a twofer on the History Channel that should straighten out everything...
Nazis and aliens in the same program. Did you know that Nazis were helped by aliens to develop rocket technology and the Nazi scientists all escaped to an alien word using some technology known as "the Bell" at the end of the war? That is except for the scientist or two who were brought to the US and started NASA using said alien technology after having their previous affiliations expunged from their records.

See, you can find an alternate bizarro reality that doesn't involve Teabaggers and debt. Then again, perhaps not.

2. I don't know. Between Knights Templar lore, end of time garbage,
aliens, and Nazis, they pretty much don't broadcast much anymore. Once in a while they will have on an honest to goodness serious documentary.

10. Once in a while they show a program like "The Black Blizzard" which
was actually a very well researched and informative program on the Dust Bowl years.

But yeah, other than that, there hasn't been much on the History Channel.

17. History International is usually good
And I think the aliens shows are fun, and I love ghost shows. It's like sci fi but in a documentary form.

they're fun--suspend disbelief for an hour and hear a ghost story or astounding stories of aliens visiting the planet. Cool stuff...!

15. Well, they just finished a program after that one in which the Soviets
were in cahoots with the aliens. And now the US had a guy named Corso who was reverse engineering Roswell debris. It seems like the aliens have been playing us all off against each other. It wouldn't surprise me to see a program in the near future in which the idea that bin Laden was an alien is put forward.

18. I thought their recent historical program "The Rise" was well done and presented from

a unique perspective.

I forget whether it was titled "Nazis The Rise" or "The Third Reich The Rise" but they presented this event not so much from how Hitler and the Nazis came to or seized power but as to how and why the German People accepted them.

They went through each year beginning around the end of WWI and started the scene with the premise of "If you were a German" or "If you were living in Berlin" and I believe this subtle distinction of forcing the audience to "walk in other shoes" is critical to humanity and society evolving to the point of seriously learning the most crucial lessons that history provides, not forgetting them and recognizing those same commonalities when they occur in real time.

So for that program I give the History Channel a thumbs up.

Thanks for the thread, Skidmore.
