The latest "Frightened" Republi-bastard: ridiculously wealthy Steve Wynn!
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0711/59333.html

Yes, I know it's Politico and Politico sucks. But content is content, so . . .

The man who played a major role in revitalizing Las Vegas is bashing President Barack Obama as “the greatest wet blanket to business, progress and job creation in my lifetime.”

Speaking to investors on a Monday conference call, casino developer Steve Wynn - calling himself a “Democratic businessman” - went on an extended rant against Obama and his policies.

His customers and the companies he works with “are frightened of this administration,” he said, “and it makes you slow down and not invest your money. Everybody complains about how much money is on the side in America.”

(snip)

“I support Harry Reid,” he said. “I support Democrats and Republicans. And I’m telling you that the business community in this company is frightened to death of the weird political philosophy of the President of the United States. And until he’s gone, everybody’s going to be sitting on their thumbs.

“I believe in Las Vegas. I think its best days are ahead of it. But I’m afraid to do anything in the current political environment in the United States,” he said. “You watch television and see what’s going on on this debt ceiling issue. And what I consider to be a total lack of leadership from the President and nothing’s going to get fixed until the President himself steps up and wrangles both parties in Congress.”

Obama, Wynn added, “keeps making speeches about redistribution and maybe we ought to do something to businesses that don’t invest, their holding too much money. We haven’t heard that kind of talk except from pure socialists. Everybody’s afraid of the government and there’s no need soft peddling it, it’s the truth. It is the truth.”

Oh FUCK OFF, you veneered orange bastard mobster.

Right, so let's put a psychodot, Bible-humping Jesus-eyed, homophobe fuck-up like Michele Bachmann in office. TRULY that's the better plan, to have some paranoid, whacksauce Left Behind End-times disciple with her hand on the Button. :eyes:

And you pretty much admitted that Corporate America is indeed sabotaging American progress until you get everything and we have nothing. Gotcha. I give you that you at least have the courage to be blatant about your shitbaggery instead of hiding it.

Again I ask these "frightened" people (why do they always use this same canned adjective?): WHAT CHANGED???

Wynn Resorts stock is up 63% for the year. Steve Wynn is a fucking billionaire; one who buys his plastic surgeons from Madam Tussauds from the looks of it, but still a billionaire. He manages some of the most expensive hotels in Vegas and elsewhere.

Obama hasn't raised one rich person's tax or cost him one PENNY in profit. The Health Care act hasn't even gone into effect yet and it's completely Big Insurer-Friendly. This environment couldn't be more business-friendly if someone name Bewsh was running it.

OOOOOohhhh, piddles. Your taxes return to Clinton-era levels (which isn't a hike, as much as you try to spin it). So you'll be merely 700 times richer than your average worker than 800 times richer. Cry me a grand fountain, you greasy shit.

What the hell is this guy talking about?

6. No, he's not out of touch, he's telling a prepared lie.
The puke voters are stupid but the ones running the show know what they're up to.

They are perfectly well aware that they are getting everything they want from this president.

But blaming Dems -- and thereby raising the profile of pukes -- is part of their script.

These are not screwed up people that we need to talk to.

They are traitors.

They are the enemy.

We should only see their faces through cross-hairs.

9. A prepared canned lie for "5-10 Minutes Hate" on corporate channels.
He was on CNBC and the talking heads just let him blather on and on without question. And he'll likely go from station to station, just like The Most Important Yard Gnome in History Grover Norquist did the other day and Neutron Jack Welch does all the time.

Assholes such as them own this country and their "news" appearances are merely theater for the low-information, nosepicking, willing divide-and-conquer subject idiots who practically trip over themselves to vote against their best interests every time.

"Don't blame them rich's! I'm gonsa BE rich someday, Uh-huuuuuuuuuuh!"

...and it's not just blather, they mean it.

For a guy who can wheel and deal a bundle, he's such a dumbass about history. Does he need a new generation of real Bolsheviks for him to tell the difference?

On edit: Not to mention this guy runs hotels and casinos: industries where what makes or breaks it is the low-level employees: the entertainers who draw people in, the maids who clean the rooms, the the staff who sees to the guests' needs, the dealers at the tables, etc. It's not like he holds patents or royalties: everything he makes is skimmed off of others' work; and everything he skims is money they are not making and spending in the local economy.

13. Cheap shot. It was an accident.
Wynn was talking with some people, he made a gesture with his arm, he was standing a little too close to the painting, and his elbow hit it. Repairing it cost him $90,000.

He has a degenerative eye disease (retinitis pigmentosa). His vision is failing. I don't know whether that contributed to the accident.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons to criticize Steve Wynn without trying to make something out of this meaningless incident.

19. Most would be acutely aware of a Picasso location.
The meer fact that he was close enough to the painting to put an elbow through it means that he treats treasures like playthings.

10. One wonders how these guys get rich in the first place
If we do get taxes back to Clinton levels, we can stop laying off people, perhaps stop worrying about the deficit so much, and then confidence will get better. And what makes people like Winn their billions is when millions of people have the disposable income to be able to go to Lost Vegas. It's not the Michael Jordan's of the world who drive his profits, it is the average tourist. The worse the economy, the worse his own business is! Just look at the economic crater that is Lost Vegas right now!

If Bachmann gets in he might as well declare bankruptcy, no one will be coming to Vegas, they will be too busy gleaning in the dumpsters for food.

11. Ah, the "uncertainty fairy." You can find her riding a unicorn in the Fountain of Youth.
Businesses are hoarding cash and not hiring because consumers have no money to buy their stuff with.

We need jobs so people can earn money so businesses will create jobs.

It's a vicious cycle that only gov't can break . . .

12. Well, suppressing wages so they can't meet productivity, COL increases or inflation will do that.
Times 30 years = eventual Peak Capitalism.

Who are these jokers trying to bullshit?

14. Most entertaining and apt commentary on a report! *LOL*
I'd read the Politico Wynn article yesterday. Wynn and cohorts are spreading the gambling businesses internationally, ready to suck up the new money from Arabs and Chinese since there's not so much here in the US.

I never have understood why people want to throw away their money at casinos. Anyway, didn't Wynn endorse Obama? Wynn's current opinions resemble those of an average low information tea partier. He just sounds DUMB.
