How Is Keith Olbermann's Ratings Now?
Does anyone know?

The production isn't as nice as on msnbc. Also, the sound is noticably muffled. I'm wondering if the channel will keep people away because it hasn't much cache.

I've been watching and DVRing every show.

How about you guys?

I couldn't care less about being cool.

I'm cool just being me.

And if not, so what.

Just curious if my fellow libs are still supporting our main man Keith.

4. I've tuned in every night since he came back on the air. I have no clue what his ratings are
though. I think his show has been very good and his contributors are awesome! Michael Moore, Markos Moulitsas, John Dean and others. I catch him at 7 CT and Lawrence O'Donnell when he repeats at 10.

5. i watch every evening
i like that it's not glitzy. it feels more straightforward to me. and i don't mind turning up the volume a little. it's refreshing, actually, to be on the ground floor as they build. i can hardly wait to see what show gets developed next.

btw, the network's documentaries often have me hanging in there after keith's show to watch.

11. I Was So Happy To See Him Back On The Air
I was posting on boards w/RWers boasting how they couldn't stop him.

So it isn't just me that the sound of the show is muffled right?

Did you guys catch that David Gale movie starring Kevin Spacey?

What a movie.

The sound is fine here on the Utube clips also.

And Keith is better than ever.

Maybe you need a new TV.

When Current is available on more Cable lineups his ratings will be even better.

It's amazing that he has done as well as he has so far considering so many people can't get Current.

The sound is NOTICEABLY different and worse the instant the show comes on.

The whole production is excellent and it's amazing how well he is doing considering how so many people cannot get Current.

And in only a couple of weeks too.

Keith..then Shuster, then another liberal hour.. or one before Keith & one after..

Keith all alone out there..one hours sandwiched in between hours & hours of "stuff" is not a winning proposition

16. Horrible I would say
He lost 28.5% in his second week and Current TV choose not to release week 3 ratings yet (should have been released on Monday like week #2 was)

For week #2 he was getting about 25% of the audience he did on MSNBC

30. I hate that. I'm one of the reasons. I can never remember where
to find it, and I regularly forget to check. It just isn't as convenient to have to look for it all the time. Has that changed any. I copied a url where his show was supposed to be on, but I didn't come up.

21. This is how we fell for the old hookie dookie
our attention is focused on the wrong things in life and we will forever be captured by
corporate greed if all we could care about is RATINGS. What about substance, shouldn't
substance be the key instead of ratings.

Why are we so obsess with ratings just as we are with polling numbers.

Guess one will never know.

25. Faux Snooze actually researched what mesmerized lemmings
into not turning the channel...and thusly built their little propaganda channel.

I'm glad I am more discerning and can actually sit and watch something without having to be entertained or amused by the backgrounds/graphics/etc.

I personally like content. I could care less if it came wrapped in sackcloth soaked in camel spit.

I think keith is trying but the show still needs some work...but i watched keith at the beginning on msnbc and it took time to get it right there.

I think if there is enough money to wait it out and if he can get two good shows on either end of his he has a shot.

32. His ratings won't be out for another month or so.
But it is a new program with fewer available viewers than what his program on MSNBC was, so I would say he has fewer audience members now, but is still more interesting than anything else on cable!!!

I'm going to get a dish at the end of the month if the freakin' cable company doesn't give in to my demands to add the Current channel to its lineup of channels.

34. Production is not the same is the old Countdown, but I find the content is even better.
I've loved his guests... it seems that Keith is now truly free to invite the people he wants on his show without having to kowtow to Joe Scarface or Tweety or the other PTB at MSNBC.

The show is still in its infancy, so there are kinks that need to be worked out and smoothed over. Yes, the graphics and production values could use some work, but I'm assuming most of the money for the show has gone towards actually putting together a pretty good panel and staff. I think the content is definitely more substantive, with the usual "Oddball (Time Marches On)/Worst Persons in the World" filler to break up the levity of what's being reported for the day.

I think it will get even better.

36. I watch the repeat at 11:00.
It is also repeated three times the following day, so the 8 p.m. ratings might not take the total number of views into account.

40.  I watch nightly, I like the more elegant visual appearance of
the show, less gimmicky, or as the network people would say 'dynamic'. Love where it is, love where it's going.
In terms of 'ratings', all I can say is that people have no idea what any of those numbers mean, no matter how many times things are explained to them, so I have sort of given up. But the people who make that and other 'cable news' shows understand that they are slicing a tiny wedge of pie among several diners, and that at any given moment, far more people who are watching cable tv are watching something other than cable news. For anyone to have a real audience in cable news, it has to be built from scratch, and that seems to be their thinking. Thus far in that market, no one has done that. There are no actual standouts, no huge hits. Never have been. Pioneer territory, good stuff indeed.
