OMG, Lindsey Graham just totally capitulated!
He just admitted that the Republicans, including himself, had painted themselves into a corner by insisting in public that they weren't going to raise the debt ceiling, but now they have to.

Just reported by Ed Schultz.

5. He can't walk it back
He has to eat it, they all do. They brought this onto themselves. They have been given their marching orders. Time for political posturing is over boys.

9. Here's how it goes.
They will sit down and decide which Republicans they should protect from fallout and the rest of them will take the fall. Michelle Bachmann will still vote no. Cantor and Ryan will still vote no. All others they are using to feed the Tea Party beast will be protected.

3. That's what we've been saying since day one. Their corporate masters can not let them default.

6. Graham's of the old school and not as rabid as the new generation, IMO -
Edited on Wed Jul-13-11 09:55 PM by gateley
he actually has friends that are Democrats whereas the new guys almost behave as though they belong to rival gangs.

This isn't to say he isn't insufferable at times, and that I don't want to slap him, but he knows how the game is played. These new guys are clueless.

Edit: I misspelled poor Lindsey's name. :7
