You know...over there.

They pretty much want him dead. Erick Erickson wanted him hung in effigy over at RedState.

Their heads are exploding!

4. And , wait!
They're the ones playing poker:

To: tobyhill
Based on the posts so far it seems nobody on this thread so far has ever played poker before

Ever hear of giving someone enough rope to hang themselves

McConnel just gave Obama a nice long length to play with

Say one thing and then ignore them as they govern. Bait and switch isn't ending well.

think he is getting a warm response to most of us here on that.

7. I was reading over there too
It is hilarious...like shining a bright light under a rock to see them scatter.

For all my criticisms of President Obama, I must admit, even I did not envision that the GOP would collapse under their own hubris quite so spectacularily.

Well played Mr. President. Well played. I concede the game to you sir.

12. Good. Thats a relief
I unexpectedly overheard a conversation at the store this afternoon with a frightened (and very angry) senior lady mad at Obama for blaming Congress because Congress would "never dream of touching her Social Security". It was tres depressing. I feel better now.

31. The McConnell Debt Proposal Scoreboard (Naional Review)
Here’s the scoreboard so far:

Pro: Fred Barnes, Jennifer Rubin, John Podhoretz, Allahpundit, Wall Street Journal

Con: Michelle Malkin, Erick Erickson, Heritage Action For America, Newt Gingrich, Philip Klein, Brent Bozell, Concerned Women for America, Americans for Prosperity, Let Freedom Ring!, FreedomWorks, Jim Jordan (R., Ohio)

UPDATE: Americans for Tax Reform has put out a statement denying that Grover Norquist endorsed the McConnell plan:

Today, Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist did not endorse any particular debt limit contingency plan, as has been alleged. He did endorse the objective of Leader McConnell’s effort to force the President to put his spending plan in writing.

26. @ any Trolls watching us watch you, can you please explain to
Steely Tom that we are the ones who don't want tanks or armored personnel carriers on any streets anywhere in the world, much less in D.C.!

From our point of view you are the ones who need guns and tanks to enforce your oppressive policies.

^snip for reference^

The same thing that's wrong with most of the Republicans in Washington.

They have nightmares of making the wrong decision and seeing tanks and armored personnel carriers prowling the streets of Washington.

Democrats, on the other hand, see tanks and APCs on the streets of Washington in their fondest daydreams. That's the basic difference, and it explains everything.
