Who do you suppose gives Obama political advice?
Month after month I see various stances the President takes or hints at taking offending the Progressive wing of the Democratic Party or liberal independents. The President has to be getting political advice from somewhere. Where do you think his advice, that segment of it that seems to say 'don't worry about the left, they have nowhere else to go' come from? Somehow I don't see Daily being the one and as I go down the list of Senior White House Advisors I don't see anyone else that would seem well placed to give political advice.

1. He's not dumb. He doesn't need anyone to tell him that.
He's savvy enough to know what the score is.

2. Could be, but if he's actually smart he has to have someone outside the bubble acting as thermometer
Someone has to be out there seeing what the real world is like, who is thinking what, the President is kept in far too much of a bubble and he has to know it. I realize that he has all the intelligence sources on earth available to him, but this is something different - and I just can't imagine who it is who helps him along. When Rham was there, then I understood, but now?

3. Maybe you're right...
Nobody who doesn't have their head completely up their ass would in this economic climate and unemployment situation give a speech about the need for more machinated production and investment in robots.
