Hitler was ineligible for presidency, too (World Nut Daily).

It happened in 1932 in Germany with a candidate named Adolf Hitler.

In fact, this tragedy, which resulted in the deaths of tens of millions of innocents and the utter destruction of the German republic, is documented in the biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer by Eric Metaxas.

We learn that on March 13, 1932, the day the German national election was being held to determine who would be president, "Nazi rowdies rode around in the backs of trucks with megaphones, stirring things up. A month earlier Hitler was found ineligible to run since he was born and reared in Austria. But this problem was strenuously shoved through a loophole, and he would run after all."

1. It's also grossly factually wrong...
Hitler was never, ever elected President of Germany. He lost that election to von Hindenburg. He was APPOINTED Chancellor by von Hindenburg.

2. Are they trying to fit the mamimum amount of stupidity in the smallest space possible?

Because I think they won that.

Hitler was never a citizen of Germany until he was given a small post by a right wing party which made him a citizen and when that happened he did become eligible, and he didn't win. With a lot of backroom deals and intimidation, he was appointed Chancellor.

interior minister. This was in accordance with the laws of Germany at the time (1932), when states conferred citizenship.

But this 'story' from WND is all over the RW web sites.

I did not get through to Farrah, but left a strong message about how his facts were wrong and suggested he fact-check his story, especially his claim that Hitler was ever elected President of Germany, which is a lie.
