This is a situation where Olbermann could try to reverse the century-long Republican efforts at
dumbing-down our nation in order to control the American people's minds. He could create a
REAL NEWS STATION, where everybody goes to learn the truth. He could turn Current TV into
what Americans, in time, will refer to as "THE NEWS STATION" - the only one worthh watching.

We could ask Olbermann if he would be interested, and how we people might best help him in this
great big endeavor.

I can't help but feel that Olbermann will bring all his ingenuity, talent, experience and hard
work to bear, in making Current TV become such a TV station.

Here is the one great opportunity of his and our life-times! Nobody knows how long it will
take, but shall we all pitch in, not only for our own benefit, but also for the benefit of
all future generations of Americans?

It's high time that we started climbing out of the drainage sewer!

1. Of course, my two-bit shitty cable company does not carry Current
nor will they ever.

However...I invested in a Roku box and am primed and ready to watch Keith tonight!

3. I don't know your financial situation
But you can pick up a Roku box for around $60. After that, there aren't any charges.

That's how I have to watch Keith.

An added benefit, you can stream Netflix on it.

5. A reminder, it's 358 on Direct TV
I'm pretty happy they picked it up.

There are a number of reasons I didn't go with cable. Slowness in adding new channels is one of them.

15. Yeppers. And it is only two up from MSNBC, which is on 356.
Now, if I can just remember to watch it a 6:00 pm MST.

8. ALL lies, not just Pub lies, but all lies, or perhaps Rightwing lies...
Seems lately that many Dems, particularly Blue Dogs, have adopted typically "Pub" stances and hence the lies therein. So to me the distinction should be conservative v liberal/progressive, not Pub v Dem.

10. I am against all lies from any quarter. Some time ago, a writer in this
forum said that it was no longer blue vs. red, liberal vs. conservative. Today it's
Corporations vs. you and me. And a hearty WELCOME to DU.

9. No need to ask him if he's interested. This is already what he's planning!
He's planning to create a "real news station." His long-term goals are to make Current TV ALL news.

We start climbing out of the drainage sewer tonight!

Follow me! Follow me to freedom!!

20. Great! This will be the only truly INDEPENDENT news station free from all corporate influence.
If Keith truly delivers, we can help by spreading the info in every which way we can,
and hope that it will catch on like wild fire.

11. After Countdown tonight DUers would do well to stick with
Current for an installment of Vanguard which is the best documentary journalism on TV. Current has been doing great stuff for years. Watch some right now, right here: http://current.com/shows/vanguard/video/

Then give Infomania a trial run for some laughs http://current.com/shows/infomania/

I am a big fan of both.

18. I've been a fan of Current awhile too,
and I hope the kids at infoMania get a big boost from the Countdown viewers. I'll admit to watching Brett Erlich with not entirely wholesome thoughts. Vanguard is terrific. I do miss the Rotten Tomatoes movie review show though. Wish it could come back.
