2 packages 'pop' at Md. government buildings
Edited on Thu Jan-06-11 03:42 PM by Contrary1
How long before the Liberals are accused of doing this to make the Repubs look bad? 5-4-3-2...:eyes:

"A federal official says two packages "popped" Thursday at state government buildings in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, according to NBC News.

Both were apparently sent through the mail, an official says. In both cases, the packages emitted a small bang or flame, but NBC's Pete Williams said there were no explosives in the packages.

An official says two people, including a mailroom employee, suffered minor injuries.

State police tell NBC News that one package was about the size of a book. When it was opened, it emitted smoke. One of the packages was sent to the Jeffrey Building in downtown Annapolis. The other was sent to the Maryland Department of Transportation in Hanover..."

4. Thank goodness for stupid bombers.
I'd rather bad reporting than a casualty count.

5. indeed. but any explosive devise going off in government buildings shouldn't come off sounding
like a couple of Black Cats going off.

it's more serious than that.

8. Maybe a 'black cat' was to be used for the ignition source.
If that's what the people who heard the device describe it as, why change it?

14. "The employee sustained minor stinging to his fingers, but refused further medical treatment,"
You'd have more damage from holding a fire cracker.

Thank goodness for incompetent bombers.

I'm not understanding your objection to the reporting- do you wish they'd been more hyperbolic?
