How is it that Republicans are getting away with...
...blaming Obama for the anemic recovery, when it was they who successfully blocked Obama's efforts to pass an ecomomic package large enough to do more than merely avert an imminent depression?

1. An anemic recovery from an economy that was largely created by THEIR IDIOTIC POLICIES . . .
. . . and also aided and abetted by "D"s who are really "R"s.

3. The Democrats never came out and made the case that the
Republican Conservative Policies of Bush And REPUBLICAN
PARTY put us into the recession.

Here at DU and some Dem Websites but not on Televsion.

Cutting taxes , Deregulation, Poorly Managed Trade Policy,
and No energy policy are the reason for Depression.

Until Americans have concrete understanding of this
the Republicans will continue their merry way and may
win the WH in 2012.

They must explain how and why cutting taxes, deregulation
and poorly managed trade policy failed us.

Will they do this??? So far they seem to be the ME TOO
Party. Example: Republican says--Cut Taxes, Democrats
say Me too.

They must distinguish between Democrats and Republicans.

4. in their defense, the media has their story line and refuses to vary from it.
they have how many republicans for every 1 dem. though, the dems usually aren't very good at getting their message out anyway, but even when they are they get talked over and yelled over. it is clear that no one is interested in the reality of the situation or the truth about what happened. we were all there. there should be no mystery about what caused this. people seemed to know who caused this before but are perfectly willing to let themselves be talked into not believing their own eyes about shit for some reason.

6. I'm not ready to place blame on the media yet...
If Democrats were aggressively speaking out about this, the media would have something cover.

8. i agree that we have a bunch of dems that have serious messaging problems.
but i also believe that even when dems have had a coherent message and good points the media weren't interested in them. the media has their own message to sell and they don't care about the facts. but you are right that the dems don't help themselves either.

5. I think Obama won because Democrats...
...did make the case against the Republicans.

But they are allowing the public to completely forget what followed afterwards, and not pushing back against the Republican's charge of failure.

Why in the hell don't they don't they remind people of the facts?

9. I think there is plenty of media out there...
...that would be receptive to a Democratic response...that is, if one were being offered.
