Just got my first post-tax-cut paycheck
$40 more than before, thanks to the FICA levy cut. I intend to stimulate my corner bar tonight with the windfall.

10. Forty bucks, fuck yeah!
I won't be collecting social security for a few years anyway, so what the hey.

You know what's coming: A new report from the auditors on Social Security's solvency (a standard never applied to any other government spending) will show that thanks to the FICA "holiday," social security will begin paying out more in benefits in 2035 instead of 2037. This will give impetus to the privatization mobsters, who can't wait to play the market with other people's money. All the multi-millionaires who talk to us on the teevee, along with all their multi-millionaire guests will agree that Something Must Be Done to save social security. And by "save" they mean "end."

Be ready for the wealthy scolds who will excoriate folks for spending their money, instead of saving it to be plundered by the wealthy.
