Why aren't people tested for Valium, Darvon or other barbiturates?
Don't those substances cause drowsiness? Can't they be dangerous if mixed with alcohol? Shouldn't people be concerned if someone using them is behind the wheel?

If some are up-in-arms over marijuana testing - then why the silence about legal downers?

P.S. - The Anthony Weiner "scandal" is a lie and will proven as such.... have a nice day! :-)

1. 1) Valium and Darvon are manufactured by pharmaceutical companies
The politicians and their minions and uniform who "enforce" the law are notorious for turning a blind eye to prescription drug abuse,
as the pharmaceutical companies have the politicians in their wallet.

2) Anthony Weiner should NOT resign. David Vitter BROKE the law by using the services of a prostitute and he is still a Senator.

2. Florida should pass a law making you get Oxycontin tested before you can go on the radio.

5. People are prosecuted for DWI while on prescription drugs all the time.
I knew a woman, not all that long ago, who was prosecuted for driving while on Vicodin. She was pulled over, failed the roadside sobriety test, and was prosecuted just like any other intoxicated driver.

People are always suprised by this, but it happens every single day. Driving while intoxicated by ANY drug is illegal.

6. People are tested for propoxyphene (Darvon) in a 10-panel drug test.
And Darvon has been banned by the FDA since last year anyway.

10. I never understood it
It did absolutely nothing for me but I took care of old folks and it worked really well on them.

8. Valium is a benzodiazipine, and Darvon is a synthetic opiate.
Neither of which are barbiturates.
