‘Obamacares’
The term “Obamacare” used to try my last nerve. My annoyance was based on the fact that the term was formulated by Republican Lawmakers, Tea Partiers, conservative extremists, Right Wing pundits and talk show personalities to rally the Tea Party masses against the President during the 2009 Health Care Forum circus and it continues to this day.

After two and a half years, it’s crystal clear that Republican elected officials, Tea Partiers, conservative extremists, Right Wing pundits and talk show personalities will bash ANYTHING the President proposes to better the circumstances of the middle class, the poor, the elderly, the unemployed, the disadvantaged, the disabled, homeowners, and education. So, now I view the term “Obamacare” as a BADGE OF HONOR for the President because it’s based on his campaign promise to lay the foundation towards achieving “quality, affordable health care for all”. After all the bashing and trashing he got fighting for it, he deserves the credit!

Think about it. In keeping with their, publically stated, plan to “break Obama” and make him a “one term President”, Republican Congressional AND state level elected officials have chipped away at Health Care Reform; crucified Medicare; taken away American workers rights; blocked consumer protection legislation; cut education funds; refused economic Stimulus monies; voted against banking and corporate regulations; passed legislation to promote racial profiling; cut education funds to subsidize corporate tax breaks; chipped away at voting rights; passed legislation to protect oil subsidies on the backs of the middle class and the poor; chipped away at unemployment benefits; voted for corporate gun manufacturer-backed legislation to carry guns on trains, in National Parks, in sports stadiums and in bars; chipped away at basic survival services for the elderly and the disabled; shelled out millions of taxpayer dollars to rewrite public school history books in order to deny that slavery ever existed, and the list goes on and on.

What can we conclude about the “break Obama” tactics of Republican elected officials at Congressional AND state levels?

Obama cares!

1. ObamaCare
I have always thought the Republicans made a big mistake by calling health care reform "Obamacare". I think they will come to regret that boneheaded move.
