3. This is a very encouraging trend, but we must not be complacent. From what
I have read elsewhere, FOX news still has a big share of the market. We have to show FOX viewers we know that they've been lied to - point out the whole "weapons of mass destruction" lie, the lie that Saddam was behind 9/11, etc. I would have to look it up again but Media Matters has a really good list of how many lies FOX news has told, and how so many believe those lies.

We can't be complacent. Okay, it's fine to feel good about this bit of good news - and I am happy about it - but we still have a long ways to go. Each one of us has to do our best to help everyone understand that FOX news is only propoganda just like the old "Pravda" was and just like "Pravda" spreads only lies.

4. Americans are sick and tired of Fox-Republicon lies, spin, and propaganda
Edited on Thu Jun-02-11 08:36 AM by SpiralHawk
That is clear. I hope some other organization will finally step forward and begin to present Americans with some authentic, unbiased journalism.

The Republicon-corporate propaganda catapult at Fox has shot its putrid, degenerate wad.

6. Fox seems to assume their viewers are complete morons
Just in the way they present the news.

7. FAUX entrenched itself in a formula that only seems to work for a certain aging demographic.
CNN copied them. I hope more people will express their disgust with tabloid garbage disguised as news and convince CNN to be more responsible.

9. Look at who they polled. I'm sure their ratings are fine if they would've polled viewers 55+
Isn't that their target audience - old, white guys with hemorrhoids?

(no offense to the hemorrhoids)

12. I believe the average FOX viewer is well over 65 years old. If they don't pick up
a big segment of younger viewers, Fox news will die off with their viewers.

11. Faux news in doctor's waiting rooms
I have noticed a decline in doctor's offices having faux news on their tv and being able to watch MSNBC or CNN instead. I usually ask (politely) if they could change the channel if it is on faux!

15. My doctor's office had FAUX on for years
Now it's Home and Garden TV. I guess they are sick of the arguments.

14. Good news, but it doesn't mention the ratings themselves.....
.....which tells me FAUX still has a considerable lead.

16. And what of ages 55 and above?
I'm really interested in those because faux news has been pushing the ryan budget which cuts medicare. How do the older folks feel about faux then?
