2. almost perfect ad. The dig at the Volt is completely unwarranted though.

both vehicles are HUGE leaps forward compared to most everything else out there.

5. Especially since the Leaf doesn't live up to its stated mile range.

I ran in to a woman who was test/demo driving one as part of her job. The woman was an editor of a car magazine.

She told me the Leaf is good for about 70-80 miles. IIRC, the range is supposed to be 100? 120?

She did tell me the manufacturer will, as part of the warranty, send a flat-bed if you run out of juice on the road.
