We have all gone over the edge at one time or another in our lives. But Palin deluding herself into thinking she could get elected president crosses the line between delusion and totally nuts.

Of course, there are hard core lunatics out there who would vote for virtually any demagogue. But Palin isn't your everyday demagogue or idiot. This woman is so incredibly ignorant as to make Larry, Moe and Curly look like Einsteins.

Yet, who the hell knows what the American electorate is capable of in today's screwed up world? There's the far out possibility that this person could end up in the Oval Office.

And were it to happen, my guess is that the world's nuclear powers would be so frightened that they'd launch everything they have at us in a preemptive strike.

Is there anyone here on DU who really believes in this woman's fantasies?

I took this in south-west Detroit just before the mid-term elections. I'm still not sure what the point of it is but one thing I am sure of is that if those who put it up are registered and likely to vote they would actually do it. They would happily vote for Sarah Palin.

Too many powerful Republican insiders dislike her and she seems to be too much of a loose cannon for the corporate overlords to adopt her as their next puppet. She seems to believe her own nonsense and have her own shifting agenda. They'll find ways for her to be useful to them. She'll still be a pain in everyone's side, one way or another. But not from the Oval Office.
