A lot of use terms such as attention whore and congressional slut... and we're adult enough to know we aren't talking in sexual terms here, we're talking selling things that should never, ever be sold. THAT is the only thing remotely similar to the words used in a sexual context. It's the selling, not the sex... or the goods being sold.

I am not overly offended but I do think it was important that Ed apologize for his slip in professionalism. His apology was excellent and it should set the bar for these kind of slips. I found him to be deeply sincere and honestly reflective about the mistake he made.
