How stupid is Senator Toomey?
Toomey has said it's "irresponsible for the administration to even implicitly threaten the possibility of a default."

Of course the US can default on it's debt. He thinks the US is that damn special? That different from every other country? This kind of thinking really shows how some Americans view America and the rest of the world. I'm sorry but anyone who thinks like this shouldn't be considered a human being, they are dog shit.

1. It's the Republicans (like Toomey) whom have stated
that not raising the debt ceiling (threatening a default) until the last second is o.k. They want the stars and moons or they're not going to lift a finger to do anything.

Do you think the statue of liberty says America is that way.

Or that the concept in the poem is that way.

The golden door, might be to understand the thoughts in the poem itself.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
