My brief thoughts on the Health Security Act
I am glad to see that the Liberal movement is finally framing the universal health care initiative correctly. Health care for U.S. citizens should become a federal right for all Americans, and it is imperative to the long term security of our country.

Why? Lets learn from the ancients of the past to guide us into the future as an example. Thucydides described the symptoms of the plague that wiped out maybe 1/3rd of the Ancient Athenian population as he lived during this time period with his work. But he also described how it broke down the fibers of Ancient Athenian society, and that chaos ensued where no one cared for the laws.

The plague spread to anyone good, or bad, rich or poor. The rich think they can hide from the increasing number of uninsured Americans, but all they are doing is ensuring a potential catastrophe down the road, which they can't hide from either. The country is slowly seeing that Democrats are the ones who have the better track record protecting the environment, and defense of our nation. And, eventually the Democrats will go down in the history books for providing American citizens improved health care rights (Universal health care) that ensure a just, ordered, prosperous society as a whole. Just like what the Ancient Greeks strived for thousands of years ago.
