Ron Paul made his official announcement to run on GMA
just now. Basically, he's saying that the majority of Americans think like him now.

1. While I agree that there are a lot of batshit crazy Americans, I hesitate to say the majority.
He's insane.

2. Good! The Rushpublican's Worst Nightmare Is Happening...
A lot of the teabaggers were Paulbots. Few remember he held his own convention in Minneapolis in '08 and there was a lot of pressure on him to go third party (he ran as a "Libertarian"). He is the GOTB's Kucinich in that he will draw a solid 5-10% in primaries and get a lot of noise out there...but unlike Kucinich who put party ahead of ego, Paul's head is bigger than ever and sure to create major headaches for the party elite.

There's no way Paul has a chance to win the nomination...and he surely knows it. He's in it to turn this rolling circus sideways. He's sure to have the loudest supporters and will flood the caucuses just enough to keep any other candidate from emerging. In the end his supporters will be pissed as he's passed over and ignored and either they finally go on their way to third partydom or stay home again year. Either way it's gonna be fun to watch.

3. I think we can officially call the 2012 Republican Race - the Funny Farm
Remember when you ran away and I got on my knees and begged you not to
leave because I'd go berserk?? Well...
You left me anyhow and then the days got worse and worse and now you see
I've gone completely out of my mind.. And..
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa
To the funny farm. Where life is beautiful all the time and I'll be
happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!!!

You thought it was a joke and so you laughed, you laughed when I had said
that loosing you would make me flip my lid.. RIGHT???
I know you laughed, I heard you laugh, you laughed you laughed and
laughed and then you left, but now you know I'm utterly mad... And..

They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa,
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa.
To the happy home. With trees and flowers and chirping birds and basket
weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!

I cooked your food, I cleaned your house, and this is how you pay me back
for all my kind unselfish loving deeds.. Huh??
Well you just wait, they'll find you yet and when they do they'll put you
in the ASPCA, you mangy mutt!!! And...

They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa.
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa.
To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time and I'll be happy
to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're coming
to take me away, ha-haaa!!!
To the happy home, with trees and flowers and chirping birds and basket
weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haa!!!
To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time... (fade out)

Hey, buddy!
Yes officer..
You a head?
No, but I'm catching up, ha ha ha....

5. I saw a Saturn station wagon on the parkway a couple of days ago
On the back window it said:

RON PAUL
FOR PRESIDENT
20

I imagine the driver, a lean-looking older man, it out buying a "1" and "2" from the hardware store right about now.

:D
