4. I would have used Hellfire-equipped drones, precision B2 strikes...
...and if necessary, dumb iron bombs from B-52's based on Guam.

We're talking Orlando Bloom, people.

No Half Measures.

7. No, but the anti-Mordor allies would be justified in sending a hit squad after Saruman. nt

9. Ignoring the mixed names and silliness, the answer of course is yes.

From the point of view of those who wanted Mordor to retain power and security, it would have been not only right, but far more effective and far less expensive, to have assassinated each and every member of the fellowship as quickly as possible. Look what happened to them because they either neglected or failed to carry out this suggestion; hundreds of thousands dead, stronghold destroyed, completely devastated as a society. What's the life of an androgynous archer compared to that?

Of course it would have shortened the books considerably too. No harm there either.

10. Sauron would have preferred to kill Aragorn
Legalos, Orlando's character, was not a direct threat to Sauron, but Aragorn as King of Gondor could rally Men against the Evil One and he did.

And once Sauron detected the One Ring, he did send his top minions, the Nazghul, to hunt for it. I do believe they attack the inn in the town of Bree, where the hobbits were staying.

15. If it would have avoided a messy trial, sure.
I find those Sylvan types in general to be a little sketchy.
