'At least no one can accuse them of rushing things.

When Forrest Lunsway asked his sweetheart, Rose Pollard, to marry him nearly 30 years ago, she agreed — but only when he turned 100 years old.

Rose, 90, proved true to her word when she married Forrest last month in Orange County, Calif., on the groom’s 100th birthday.

The wedding makes them the oldest couple to ever marry, with a combined age of nearly two centuries. They are planning to apply for a Guinness World Record — they’re 82 days older than the French couple who currently hold the title.

“Take your time and get to know one another,” Rose told The Daily when asked for relationship advice. “Get to know if you like all the things that person stands for. If they have the same values.”

In this case, those values include a shared passion for ballroom dancing.

The newlyweds rarely miss a dance at the Dana Point Senior Center, where they were married. It’s physical activity that Forrest believes has kept him alive.'

2. That shouldn't be allowed. Marriage is for the children, and
they're too old. Only fertile, heterosexual couples should be allowed to marry. :sarcasm:

11. Absolutely. Since they can't shed more babies onto this
overcrowded planet, they should not be allowed to marry each other.

Whoever heard of marrying because you enjoy each other's company and amuse each other and have fun together and enjoy cooking for each other and going places together and enjoy each other's families and great-great-grandchildren.

I hope all the state legislatures RUSH to pass legislation outlawing this sort of thing ASAP.

:sarcasm:

3. She's 10 years younger than he is -- what a cradle robber!
But I wouldn't be so sure about that "ever." The oldest known.

All kidding aside, I think it's sweet and I hope I'm still tearing up the dance floor when I'm that age :)
