WTH? Limbaugh: "Thank God for President Obama"

Mr. Oxycontin actually (sort of) praised the President today - in a backhanded way and of course gave bungling bu$h too much credit:

Rush Limbaugh did something he rarely does: he praised President Obama on his Monday show for the death of Osama bin Laden.

"We need to open the program today by congratulating President Obama," he said. "President Obama has done something extremely effective, and when he does, this needs to be pointed out."

The effectiveness, he said, came from President Obama's decision to send a Special Forces team to kill bin Laden--something he said, citing news reports, that none of the president's military advisers had thought of doing.

"Our military wanted to go in there and just scorch the earth...but President Obama single-handedly understood what was at stake here. He alone understood the need to get DNA to prove the death...it was President Obama single-handedly and alone who came up with the strategy that brought about the effective assassination of Osama bin Laden," he said, adding, "thank God for President Obama."

... I heard Limbaugh slamming Obama's role in planning the operation, the timing of the operation, etc., till he was practically painting Obama as a war criminal by the end.

I was so disgusted I could not listen to another minute of it.

7. That's not what I heard

I didn't tune in until 1:45 (EDT), but Limbaugh was having an apoplectic fit about the capture. He said that it paled in comparison with the deficit, unemployment and the economy and that the President had little, if anything to do with it -- that it was the Navy SEALS who did it, and that Bush deserves the credit.

I question his sanity.

Funny thing is without the sarcasm he just repeated the truth. Obama did have to make a stand to send in ground troops to get the body. Others had wanted to bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb away.
