Obama apologist
I'm sorry that Obama has been so good at being president. I'm sorry some cannot rejoice in his victories, but you gotta admit, the guy gets the job done!

So, when you see those threads about the "Obama apologists", I'd be one of them.

I'm also one of those who is prouder than a banty rooster we elected this man.

So, sorry.

Please excuse me while I celebrate the death of Bin Laden.

1. This is a nice win, I have to admit
That said, this particular victory doesn't cause me to forget how regularly Obama pisses on his base when it comes to domestic or civil liberties issues.

4. There will be those that respond to your post....
that will not be able to give Obama credit for everything because he has not passed perfect legislation on every matter even with a 24/7 fillubuster, repubs wanting to destroy him, and DINOs....they expected Obama to bylass congress and get it all done himself like a king!

8. You kiddin?
I've got skin thicker than GWB's scull! Nothing can take away the joy I have right now.

I'm not gonna rag on those who disagree with me, I just wanna say that I am so proud of the man we elected.

HAd another man/woman been elected, they may have well done as good or better than Obama, but I have my doubts.

10. Tripe!` People expect Obama to fight for liberalism instead of bending over to corporations
There's a difference between fighting and giving up; one's called fighting and the other's called giving up.

I admit that people are sometimes too hard on Obama (re: Healthcare) but come on.

11. sorry, but
i think there's a difference between "giving up" and "playing the game" until the time is right. the way i see it, all the criticism about *ramming through* HCR, maybe he figured he has to slow everything down, so people get used to it...

til the day i die i believe this guy is as progressive as they come -- not only from his books, body language, etc., but because of timing. if he *rammed* everything through (2 years? hell, it'll be more like 12 or 16, if we could be so lucky) he'd be accused of being dictatorial, and then watch the pendulum swing back and forth, over and over and over. like everyone else, i want it to swing one way, from now on, FORWARD, and stay that way. i truly believe that obama does too.

One other thing -- the $$$ ... i don't see how anyone can hope to be reelected by refusing the corporate $ and ass-kissing involved at this point. no hope there at all, thank you very much scotus. so, there you go ... IN MY HUMBLE OPINION. Never claimed to be a genius, but this is my theory -- ahem -- it is MY theory -- ahem, ahem ...

7. Although yesterday was a great day and Obama did in 2 years what Bush couldn't in 7
trying to use that as a justification for always defending Obama no matter what he does isn't very logical (not sure if you were trying to do that).

Obama does good and Obama does bad. Nobody should ever be an apologist for him, if you ever have to apologize for what the president is doing then the by definition the president isn't doing what is right.
