I'm really glad George Bush started the war on terror
Thank god for George Bush, if it wasn't for his decision to preemptively start the war on terror and take the war to the terrorists in their home countries we would never have taken down BIn Laden. If people like Dennis Kucinich had their way, Bin Laden would still be alive living it up in a mansion in Pakistan after killing 3000 Americans.

I now support America's position as policemen of the world. Its obvious that other countries cant take care of themselves and we must go into their countries and do it for them. I will never speak out against war again because we have obviously have a responsibility to protect the rest of the world from terrorists like Osama Bin Laden.

If we had completely withdrawn all our troops and intelligence operatives from the middle east we would never have killed this horrible person.

USA! USA! USA!

in the entire fucking world...no matter what.

They'll just have to get over it, and start posting
negativity anew. Wish they'd concentrate on attacking the GOP...
but you know, they live the real hard work to us. :(

24. "Damage control" because Something Good Is Being Written On DU about Obama
and we could not possibly allow that. Must Promote "Obama Is A Failure" meme, necessary for promoting voter apathy in 2012.

7. We should have killed him 10 years ago instead of invading Iraq.
We diverted tens of thousands of troops to fight an illegitimate war.

You don't think they would have been better used to hunt the people who were responsible for the attacks?

That's where your OP falls apart.

15. Who said we need a trial? The guy basically had his own Youtube account...
Edited on Mon May-02-11 01:28 AM by Paradoxical
broadcasting each and every move he's made for the past 2 decades.

If he gave up peacefully, we should have kept him alive. But clearly he wasn't planning on going peacefully.

9. He had no interest in a war on terror.
Afghanistan was a stalking horse for grabbing at Iraq's oil. From day one Cheney Rumsfield and your hero wanted Iraq. They had Osama cornered in Tora Bora and let him go so they had a boogieman to justify going in to Iraq.

investigation. would have been accomplished sooner, less costly, less lives lost.

28. You are fighting a straw man of your own creation.
I haven't seen anybody here say that the offing of Bin Laden justifies Bush's fumbling of national security in general, or of his illegal war in Iraq in particular.
