Good for something: TSA scanner finds passenger's meth
Rhonda Renee Simmons is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 12 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance after police say she got caught with about a gram of methamphetamine in her pocket Tuesday night at the Boise Airport.

Police were called to assist Boise Airport screeners with the federal Transportation Security Administration around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police were told the 47-year-old Simmons went through the advanced imaging technology scanners at airport security when TSA employees detected an undisclosed "anomaly" in Simmons’ clothes, according to TSA reports.

When a TSA employee asked Simmons if anything was in her pockets, she pulled out a small baggie containing what was later determined to be the drug, according to police reports.

2. And asternauts in space had a signifigant reduction of intelligence from cosmic radiation.

If you want to dumb down a population, just increase the 'radiation' levels in society.

Could even have some electronics mounted on helicopters radiating large areas.

Also lowers birth rates.

4. The plot thickens....agh..now what? It's like we are on a hot tin roof.
I'm not making fun of you, you have some very interesting and possible points. I'm old enough to remember when LSD was a military project being distributed in the SF Bay area secretly.

5. I think LSD was to hurt the peace and love movement of that generation

It moved hippy peace and love and standing without being part of something disagreed with, to more of a drug culture.

I do know some things, they basically change your view of existence.

However I also was able to surprise many people, and have seen various things that lead to a few possibilities, none of them could be done by people.

Mostly I try to find ideas around stories and songs.

Going to California by Led Zeppelin

This song is obviously spiritual, the mare being female horse, is idea of servant angel. Never been born same thing, idea of an angel. A bunch of other things.

Its a good New Years Eve song also.

(song also defends Bruce)

3. No, still not good for anything.
It's still outrageous and a violation of our Fourth Amendment rights.

6. Yep. That's been the point all along.
Meth is fucking foul, but I'm of the long-standing opinion that most of these so-called "security measures" are more about finding drugs (read: pot) than anything else.

7. What kind of moron goes through screening with crank in her pocket?
If Hunter Thompson has taught us anything it's that you do all the drugs right BEFORE you go through screening.

9. Oh yes. That totally justifies all those invasive searches
To my knowledge, these virtual strip-searches and grope-downs haven't prevented one single terrorist attack, but thank god they managed to find a tiny bit of meth!
