McCain: Palin can beat Obama
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/163805-mccain-palin-can-beat-obama

05/29/11 09:47 AM ET

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) has said he thinks Sarah Palin could defeat President Obama in next year’s presidential election, but he’s far from certain that she will actually jump into the race.

The GOP’s standard-bearer in 2008 also shrugged off his former running mate’s poor standing in many polls, saying she would have the opportunity to turn that around if she did make a bid for the White House.

“That’s what campaigns are all about,” McCain said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“I’ve never seen anyone as mercilessly and relentlessly attacked as I have seen Sarah Palin in the last couple of years,” the Arizona senator added. “But she also inspires great passion, particularly among the Republican faithful.”

13. McCain will have allot to answer for come judgement day. I have a feeling this loser will not end
up in heaven. The only way this bitch will beat Obama is like Bush beat Gore by cheating. We know republicans are very good at cheating and suppressing voter rights.

17. McCain is a liar in that one sentence..
“I’ve never seen anyone as mercilessly and relentlessly attacked as I have seen Sarah Palin in the last couple of years,”..the Senator added...

Now, that is a lie.. Perhaps McCain should look at the way Obama was attacked by non other than Palin and her ilk. Those attacks were worse than anything Palin got. Sure, she is stupid, but that isn't colse to some of the crap the right wing gave to Obama.
I won't repeat it, but we all know what those attacks were about.

I don't know how he can even compare how Obama's been treated with how Palin's been treated during the past two years. :banghead: :eyes:

24. McCain picked her to be his running mate, what else can he say, really.
Even if he realized one or two weeks later what a shallow, venal pinhead she is, there's nothing he can do now except be vaguely positive about the idea of her being a candidate.

By picking her he basically was saying she was fit to be President. Saying she would be a bad candidate who can't win now would be conceding his idiocy in making that pick.

He may recognize it now, but he ain't gonna say it in public.

25. I'm going to be blunt about McCain and his view toward this woman....
this is going to be sexist and probably a bit offensive, but I feel it is more true than anything about McCain and the right wing males who found this woman in the first place....

in the words of Bill Maher....all these types only want to *beep* her. At the core of their psychology is this simple fact. If not for that, these men would want nothing else to do with her.

The sad thing is there is ANY American out there that would wish this woman onto America (but really, she is the epitome of America - a good looking, created, shallow, attractive veneer that covers how ugly America really is)......

Try not to defend the woman who lost you the campaign in 2008.

to run as her VP.

I think he could see himself controlling her the way Cheney did Bush, and effectively be the president, after all.
