their hostility to the 9/11 First Responders bill and almost-successful attempts to kill it, their war against police and fire unions and, therefore, police and fire officers themselves, and especially the requirement in the bill that, in order to receive benefits of the bill, the first responders must be checked against the FBI terror database first.
