20. Genocide is all over the world - bombing all the people will not change that.
Edited on Sun Mar-20-11 03:34 PM by silver10
Saddam was a horrible dictator who also committed genocide. I wonder if 1 million dead Iraqis feel the same about our involvement in overthrowing him. I guess they are happy because they died in the chaos we created and not by Sadaam.

35. oh, because you know that for sure - because those missiles are so accurate?
Unless there are troops on the ground painting the targets, one little fraction off course and MANY innocent people will die.

BUT the war machine needs to go on and on, no matter how it gets repackaged and who they next hook with it.

44. The rebels have not reported any causalties from the anti-aircraft strikes.
Edited on Sun Mar-20-11 04:19 PM by tabatha
But they have reported the number of dead by Gaddafi's forces:

10:53pm

The death toll is higher than previously thought. Rebel spokesman Abdel Hafiz Ghoga told Al Jazeera Arabic:

Our dead and martyrs number more than 8,000 killed.

Hope that number makes you happy.

39. Clinton was awesome.
Obama met behind closed doors to negotiate with the repukes behind the dems back. We didn't get a budget, we didn't get the tax revenue from the elite wealthy who haven't been paying their fair share. Can you see shrub doing that? Obama has corporate stars in his eyes, he is soo dazzled. But the repukes will vote repuke - why not vote for the real thing if that is what you are? I thought O was a liberal progressive - I didn't get your joke about the not your daddy thing. I thought he was the president I voted for.

Now we will have a third war.

56. Hey, so does Kissinger, and he's got a Nobel Peace Prize, too...
Kissinger has serious misgivings about being involved in any military campaign, though, and carefully parses his words as support of protecting civilian lives. He wants a specific definition of what the conclusion is to be, stating that this is only a part of a much bigger situation.

Good people and bad people are for it and good people and bad people are against; this should remind people that it's NOT a simple situation, and flatly denying that complexity is dangerous and generally a sign of insecure and bellicose egos that need to be acknowledged as morally correct.
