This is the first time I've really been upset with him. This is just wrong.

1. You're upset w/Obama?? Say it isn't so!

:eyes: This organization will and should criticize, but he made increases. No one is getting entirely what they want, or haven't you noticed? Find the money tree, then we'll talk.

--Following the release of his proposed Fiscal Year 2012 budget, AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest global AIDS organization, today criticized President Barack Obama and his administration for requests for budget funding levels for HIV/AIDS programs that are grossly inadequate to the need. Despite modest increases in some areas—the President is asking for what appears to be an $80 million increase for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) for his 2012 budget—there is a crisis roiling ADAP today with thousands of Americans going without lifesaving AIDS drugs and this problem is only getting worse, a situation that Obama has done little to address today or, judging from his budget proposal, in the future.

2. How about you fund something this important completely and take off another
200mil from the Defense budget. I bet I could find 200mil to cut if they let me see the books. How can anyone defend this?

4. Why is the Pres. directly getting the blame when it's what people voted for when they stayed home..
Edited on Fri Feb-18-11 02:16 PM by ProgressOnTheMove
Staying home is STILL a vote, there is no non voting in reality, there is the party that part way supports us and the party that literally stomps on us. Those are the choice staying at home gives us the latter.

Plus this is spin The President has done ore to address the condition than any otherbefore him, it's distortion of the highest order even what we hear on our side is most times wrong.

5. Union members and Liberals did not stay home- they voted DEM.
Edited on Fri Feb-18-11 02:15 PM by Dr Fate
Your problem is with the dumb-ass centrist DEMS who assured us that if we adopted right wing positons on the war, economy & HCR, independent voters would swarm to us in droves.

Did not happen- said "moderate" voters went GOP, or stayed home.

Get your facts straight- Union members and Liberals voted DEM-depsite the fact that their party made them compromise on many important positions.

I saw no local national Liberal 3rd party trends in 2010- that is a myth.

The people who stayed home or voted GOP are the "moderates" and "independents" who were not inspired by centrist style governing, as "centrist" strategists incorrectly assured us they would.

Why are you blaming loyal liberal voters for what currently elected centrist DEMS do today?

8. paper tiger argument. you do right because it is right even if you lose.
FDR did it. HST did it. Obama needs to do it. Saying people stayed home and blaming the victims sucks. People came and voted. They voted. Obama is weak and conservative and when he fucks up he gets the criticism he deserves just like Clinton, just like Carter. No one is exempt.
