It is flat wrong to think that Obama is a Reagan acolyte
Reagan raised taxes 11 times to mitigate his profligate spending.

Obama has little demonstrable interest in raising taxes - but he's working tirelessly to slash help for the poor (and Social Security for the vulnerable).

Reagan was awful, awful. But let's give credit where credit is due.

(And no, I can't believe that I'm writing this about a "Democratic" President. Where have you gone, Franklin Delano, a brutalized nation looks to you... woo-hoo-hoo...)

6. Obama is worse than Reagan,
or Bush.

Posting it one hundred times doesn't made it less ludicrous. But keep picking cherries. It's good exercise.

14. why exactly would people waste the time to refute something this silly?
especially to somebody who isn't interested and would ignore the correction the next time he plans to post on the subject?

17. Stabbed in the back, or the front?
Which is worse? Being brutalized by a "friend" or by an avowed enemy? Obama is responsible for far more deaths around the world than Reagan. He is advocating for far more brutal cuts in social programs, that will lead to more deaths and misery.

I find Obama the most offensive of the Democratic presidents for the last 100 years. He is clearly, even more so than Clinton, trying to solidify the Democratic Party as a caring, corporate party. Meaning profits over people. Or as Orwell put it: Some are more equal than others.

Personally, I would rather someone TRY to stab me in the front where I can fight back. Harder to fight with a knife sticking out of your back.

8. I guess you didn't notice the new taxes on the rich in his budget or the Bank Tax
but then,
that wouldn't suit your framing of the situation, would it?

10. yes it is, flat wrong.
plenty of threads here to the contrary. There is no social security cut proposed. The budget proposes increased taxes on the wealthy and corporations. (I know it won't pass, but that is hardly the point)

BTW Reagan did not actually raise taxes, only congress can do this, Reagan only signed the increases into law. I am pretty sure President Obama would sign similar bills if they ever reached his desk...
