These guys retire at top salary more than the average person in this country then they start what is known as DOUBLE DIPPING!!! by getting these jobs. http://www.boston.com/news/nation/washington/articles/2010/12/26/defense_firms_lure_retired_generals/

Not just in the federal government. It used to be frowned upon, but now with all the emphasis on outsourcing and contractors it has somehow become more acceptable.

6. Not sure why that means they like wars. Very strange reasoning.
A very small percentage of officers who enter the military attain O-7 (1 star general or admiral) rank or higher. Obviously, zero enlisted people get there (unless they later commission).

This is nothing new. Military people can retire at 20 years with 50% of their salary. The more years in, the higher of a percentage they get.
