Obama's costly mistake: trusting Republicans

President Obama's biggest and costliest mistake was his belief that the GOP in Congress would work with him to improve our country. From the very start, Republicans proved that their party was more important to them than their country. "Just say no" is their motto, and while the country suffers, they prosper politically. They seem to have won. Gens. Palin and Beck of the Republican tea party have succeeded in prosecuting their "war on intelligence," ably aided and abetted by the foot soldiers of Fox News and talk radio. Polling data suggest a huge victory for Republicans in the upcoming election, despite the fact that the majority of the public realizes the GOP got us into this mess in the first place. The Republican tea party believes that reality is optional and that ignorance is a qualification for higher office.

I love that he points to the "war on intelligence" by Generals Palin and Beck, and I also like the frame of "ignorance as a qualification for public office." He really nails it.

2. He said he will Keep trying.
Can't recall the exact url on HP but it was up yesterday..Obama saying the gop may not have voted for anything but he will keep looking to get their support and will not give up.

This pretty much will likely seal his fate and become a 1 termer if he doesnt wake up.
