7. No, they are not cowards, but likely believe they are doing their best to get re-elected.
It's a personal decision that each candidate must make for themselves based upon how they see their own district or state. I am sure that Obama understands this and would never claim they deserve to lose.

and vote for that snake Crist in the false hope it will defeat Rubio.

In fact it will guarantee Rubio win by splitting dem votes.

...in 2004, 2006, 2008, there were Republicans who wouldn't be seen with Bush. Charlie Crist was one of them. Chris Shays, Mike Castle, the Queens of Maine.

It's a dick move, but it's hardly unusual.
