Krugman: Waaaaah Street

Waaaaah Street

A great piece about Wall Street rage by Max Abelson. Basically, they feel underappreciated. How dare Obama talk about fat cats, or suggest that runaway finance had something to do with the mess we’re in?

Bankers are offended. They speak of betrayal. Feelings have been hurt.

Did our nation’s elite always consist of such spoiled brats? I don’t think so. We’re in the new Gilded Age — but while the old robber barons said “The public be damned”, the new ones say “Ma! He’s looking at me funny!

And these are the Masters Of The Universe.

2. Bullies all end up whining when they don't get their way
Every last bully I ever knew or know whines when they feel they're being mistreated.

6. That's what somebody was saying at the Town Hall..
"Why are you beating up on Wall Street?" And, Pres Obama said "some have said I've been too soft on wall street".

Only it was taken out of context on an OP that didn't give the preceding question and only stated "I've been too soft on wall street" in the title.

They can't make any points without subterfuge.

8. Well, they ARE having trouble buying new luxury cars every other year
And that private school tuition? My goodness! It's through the roof! How are they supposed to enjoy life if they can pay all of their bills and NOT afford to hit up Le Bernadin every weekend?
